When I told him I printed at home he was shocked. During one of my critiques in my first university Photography class, my professor complimented my print quality and asked me where I had them done. The only reason this printer gets 2 stars is because for the first year or so that I had it, the photo prints were great.
During my final semesters in college I had to have my photos and digital art (and documents at times) printed elsewhere due to this printer's constant failures. This printer runs out of ink at an absurd rate, the ink itself is extremely expensive, prints are often faulty, incorrect error messages that come with annoying beeping sounds are a constant occurrence, sometimes the printer seems to be "loading" and making noises for about 30 minutes before accepting any commands, and after only a couple years of mild use it was no longer able to print color. I have had so many problems with this printer and have missed several assignment deadlines because of it. I originally bought this printer to last me through 4 years of college as an Art student.
